'Della's Zest for Life & Love Of People Will Be Sorely Missed'

Della M. Theodos, 85, of Orange, formerly of Easton died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on January 15, 2014. Della was born on October 22, 1928 in Pulaski, VA. She was the widow of Vincent Theodos and the daughter of Theodore and Jennie Michele. Raised in Philadelphia, she attended Pierce College.

For many years Beechwood Supermarket was owned by the Theodos family. This Supermarket was a family run business that was important part of her life and her family.

Della's zest for life and love of people will be sorely missed by all her knew her. She was charming, fun loving, engaging and intensely likable. Her family was the center of her life and she enjoyed golf, travel, bridge, and her charitable efforts with the St. Vincent's Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her three children: Mrs. Sharon Stockel (Craig) and Mrs. Melissa Moras (Wayne) both of Orange, and Dr. Louis Theodos (Nancy) of Westport; four grandchildren: Michelle Lewin (Benjamin), Ashley Federline (Cory), Wayne Moras Jr. , and Michael Moras (Dana); two great grandchildren: Hannah and Nathaniel Lewin. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother and sister-in-law, Drs. Charles and Evelyn Michele, her sister and brother-in-law Anne and Dr. George Poda, and her precious, tiny granddaughter Alexis Stockel.

Funeral Information

Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. George Orthodox Church, 5490 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Orange Center Cemetery, Orange. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A Trisagion Service will take place at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Funeral home.
