Welcome to The National Effort to Make March 13 K9 Veterans Day

Welcome to the national effort to make March 13 K9 Veterans Day.

My Mission:

“Welcome to the national effort to make March 13 K9 Veterans Day.

March 13, 1942 is the official birthday of the United States K9 Corps, and so it seems only right to annually honor their service on that date. They served to save, and they deserve to be remembered.” http://k9veteransday.org/

From Sergeant Stubby a pit bull hero and veteran of WWI who is credited with being the most decorated war dog in history to Cairo (likely a Belgian Malinois) who accompanied our Navy Seals on the Osama bin Laden raid, our Military Working Dogs have played a significant part in military history and deserve their day. Come on, Connecticut, let's join the ranks and officially recognize our MWDs!

What a great idea! I will certainly support this effort at the Capitol in Hartford and will encourage my colleagues to do the same. Thanks to Kerri Ann Hofer for bringing it to my attention, and to Kenneth Reynolds for posting it.
