Sea Scouting is a co-ed outdoor program that runs year round.  Ship 110 offers opportunities to get out on the waters of Long Island Sound from May through October, and learn by doing.  From November to April weekly meetings provide opportunities for developing teamwork, leadership and sailing skills in addition to participating in local and regional gatherings with other Sea Scouts from around the northeastern US.  Ship members learn a wide variety of skills including safe boat handling, navigation, rules of the road, and first aid, among many others.  Each year members plan fun trips and activities.

Past activities include skiing and snow tubing, leadership training on the Coast Guard ship Barque Eagle, camping, and a Winter Solstice party to name a few.  Sea scouting is run by youth with supervision and guidance from experienced and trained adults.  If you have questions, or would like additional information please contact Chip or Sue Rieve at ship110@sbcglobal.net
