Energize your Creativity with MASTERS & MIXERS – Fun, Social Paint and Wine events from Georgetown School of the Arts

As the owner of an art school, after 20 years I have found validation in this book, Twyla Tharpe’s The Creative Habit, where she describes creativity as something that spans across arts, science, business, etc.  She proposes the Creative Habit is the ritual we all have to help us with our process. This is why I think art is so important in our and our children’s lives.  We are not all in the arts but the ability to feel free to act on our ideas by going through the creative process: preparation, incubation, illumination, and implementation works for everyone.  The ability to play outside of your particular discipline helps get your juices flowing until you are back thinking up that great idea which is yours and yours alone no matter what your field.

Start your own creative habit, by enjoying an evening at Masters and Mixers, the first paint and sip party host in Fairfield County! Adults who want to learn to paint, return to painting and paint with friends and loved ones are invited to participate in Masters & Mixers – a fun paint and bring your own beverage event offered by Georgetown School of the Arts. The winter fun begins with Masters and Mixers in Danbury, CT.  On Thursday, January 30th, the Cultural Alliance of Western CT is hosting an event at their studio, 287 Main St., Danbury, CT. For $35.00 per person, bring your own wine or beverage and snacks will be provided. Class is held from 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm and you must register directly with Cultural Alliance (203) 798-0760. Our next event is on Saturday, February 1st at Two Steps Downtown Grille (5 Ives St., Danbury, Ct). For the special price of $48.00, a painting party with wonderful food and wine is included!  Please contact Two Steps to register at (203) 794-0032.
