Summer Choral Classic: Mendelssohn's "Elijah"

The Music on the Hill Summer Chorus, continuing an 11-year tradition of summertime choral classics, presents Felix Mendelssohn's Elijah with baritone Michael Costantino.  Artistic Director Ellen Dickinson conducts.  One of Mendelssohn's two dramatic oratorios, Elijah includes the much-performed chorus "He Watching over Israel."  The July 31st concert features a two-piano orchestration by Artistic Director David H. Connell to be played on Steinway grand pianos, one generously provided by Steinway Piano Gallery of Westport. Tickets:  $20 at the door or reserve in advance at tickets@musiconthehillct.org.
