PROGRESSIVE BLUEGRASS COMES TO VOICES CAFÉ

Coming off of their 2013 FreshGrass Award Cricket Tell the Weather will be performing at a Voices Café House Concert on Saturday, December 14 at 8:00pm (doors open at 7:30).

Cricket Tell the Weather is a five-piece indie string band featuring bluegrass-inspired original music. Cricket is strongly influenced by American traditional music, and also includes rock, pop, and jazz elements, contributing to the growing genre of progressive bluegrass.

The quintet’s voice carries a new spirit that explores a century of influences, owing as much to the traditions that inspired bluegrass to the journey that follows.  Cricket is set to release their independent debut album in early 2014.
