THE THEATRE ARTISTS WORKSHOP CONTINUES ITS 30TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON WITH ITS HUGELY POPULAR HOLIDAY SHOW, HOLIDAY MEMORIES BY TRUMAN CAPOTE,FRIDAY-SUNDAY NOVEMBER 30-DECEMBER 2, 2012

Following the horrific effects of Hurricane/Superstorm Sandy, plus the powerful nor'easter that followed a week later -- with so many of our friends and neighbors devastated by these storms -- it's hard to think of celebrating. But amidst the tragedy we see what the holiday season often is truly about: giving thanks for what we have and for those in our lives.

As the Theatre Artists Workshop of Norwalk CT continues its historic 30th Anniversary season, and in the spirit of being thankful for what we have, TAW presents the holiday show that's been a beloved favorite for many years, Truman Capote's HOLIDAY MEMORIES.

Directed by Mark Graham (Trumbull, CT), the show will be performed as a Classic Night staged concert reading on Friday, November 30 (8pm), Saturday, December 1 (8pm), and Sunday, December 2 (3pm).

The cast will be familiar to audiences who've seen many great TAW productions through the years: Katie Sparer (Stratford, CT), Jo Anne Parady (Southport, CT), Kristin Graham (Trumbull, CT), Chilton Ryan (Weston, CT), and Richard Leonard (Cos Cob, CT).

HOLIDAY MEMORIES combines two Capote short story classics, "The Thanksgiving Visitor," and "A Christmas Memory." In both, the younger and older Truman recount memories of times with their beloved cousin, Miss Sook, as they face an unwelcome visitor for Thanksgiving, and produce the annual batch of pies for Christmas. Full of warmth, friendship, and generosity, the play allows audience members to leave with an understanding of the true value of holiday memories.

For this show, reservations are not taken, so please arrive early for the best seats. Donations are both encouraged and gratefully accepted. For more information, visit www.taworkshop.org/.

The Theatre Artists Workshop is a group of professional actors, writers, and directors who have been honing their craft on a weekly basis for 30 years.
