WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION

Event Date: This event takes place on February 2, 2013

Whether you want to write an informational article or nonfiction book, delve into your family history, or pen a biography, your project needs to start with research.  This workshop is designed for anyone who wishes to gather material for a nonfiction work, but isn’t sure what to tackle first.

The workshop will provide an overview of the various methodologies of research including online research, use of archived material, and interviews.  Participants will learn how to evaluate sources, where to go for information, how to prepare for and follow up from interviews, and suggested best practices for gathering and organizing the material.

Whether your nonfiction book is already well underway, or still in the idea stage, this workshop will enable you to bring your project to life – and to your readers.

This book really was a great read. And I bet his reading will be quite a performance too. Mr. BlackRead More is not only very, very funny, but very astute too. He's a screenwriter, so it shouldn't have surprised me to find that he is an excellent writer, but I was really impressed.
