April is Autism Awareness Month: Come See the Movie "Temple Grandin"

The Tivey family Foundation will host two programs at the Weston Library in April designed to educate and increase awareness about the differences experienced by those living with autism.

* Movie Screening, Wednesday April 9th, 7:30 PM.  Temple Grandin, starring Claire Danes and based on Grandin's famous book, Thinking in Pictures. The movie will be followed by a brief videotaped talk by Grandin herself. 

* Upcoming, Sunday, April 27th, 3:00 PM. The Family Perspective How: Autism Affects the Family - A panel discussion by family members from our community. Learn about the skills these parents have acquired to care for their autistic loved ones and how appearances of "a misbehaving child" can sometimes be very deceiving.
