Pajama Storytime, St. Patrick's Scavenger Hunt and More

Patch offers ideas of what to do with the kids.

Head over to the on Thursday, March 17 for Pajama Storytime, which begins at 6 p.m. Get comfortable and here a classic tale!

Children are in for a treat this weekend at the Ridgefield Playhouse.  Bits ‘N Pieces Puppet Theatre will present the children’s classic, The Ugly Duckling, on Saturday, March 19, at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.  This performance is part of the Pepsi Children’s Series.  All seats are $15.  Call the box office at (203) 438-5795, or go on-line to www.ridgefieldplayhouse.org to purchase tickets.

The Discovery Center is hosting a fun St. Patrick’s Day Scavenger Hunt at Ballard Park on Saturday, March 19, from 1-3 p.m.  Rain date is Sunday, March 20. Search for clues about St. Patrick, Ireland and Irish folklore.  All participants will receive a prize.  While you are there, have your face painted like a leprechaun!  Admission is free for Discovery members, $7 for non-members.  Visit www.ridgefielddiscovery.org or call (203) 438-1063 for more information.

Visit the Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield on Sunday, March 20, to learn about life during the nineteenth century. “They Called me Lizzy” is a one-woman play about Elizabeth Keckley, a slave who purchased her freedom and ended up in the White House with President Lincoln.  Show time is 4-6 p.m. Appropriate for middle schoolers and up.
