Neighbors to host Holiday Party and Toy Drive
Redding Neighbors and Newcomers are hosting a holiday party and toy drive to benefit victims who lost their homes to Hurricane Sandy.
The Redding Neighbors and Newcomers are once again inviting the community to celebrate with them and provide support to victims of Hurricane Sandy. In October the club hosted the wildly successful Trunk or Treat after Halloween was cancelled, and now RN&N have teamed up with the Norwalk Greybeards to bring the community together to collect toys to be distributed at a holiday party for children from the hard hit Rockaway neighborhood in Queens, NY.
The Club will host a cocktail party Friday, December 14 from 7:30pm – 10:30pm at the Redding Community Center. The evening will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, and holiday treats with friends old and new. The cost is $25 per person.
We ask you to please bring a wrapped gift for a child aged 5-13. The gifts should include a tag indicating the appropriate age and gender of the recipient. Local volunteers will be heading to Breezy Point on Sunday the 16th to host a children's holiday party and distribute the gifts.
