Noel Lafayette Named to Solar Connecticut Board

Weston CT – September 26, 2013. Noel Lafayette, Founder of SHR Energy Management, has been named to The Board of Directors for Solar Connecticut. Mr. Lafayette will take the role of Chair for Governmental Affairs and Policy.  He will represent Solar Connecticut to the state legislature, utilities and stakeholders regarding the ongoing development of the solar market and regulatory matters in the state.

 A lifelong Weston resident, Mr. Lafayette is one the pioneering commercial solar developers in the Northeast since 2006. After holding several senior corporate positions, he founded SHR to bring commercial solar at more competitive rates in the rapidly changing business environment.

Solar Connecticut, Inc., (SolarConn) is a business and education trade association whose rapidly growing membership has installed the large majority of PV and thermal systems in Connecticut over the past 10 years.  SolarConn has been the lead proponent of nearly every major state policy initiative impacting the solar programs that benefit installers, developers, financiers and manufacturers and distributors operating in the Connecticut market.
