New Businesses Opening in Hamden in November

Several new businesses have chosen to call Hamden home and are celebrating grand openings this month.


November is a big month for businesses in the town of Hamden -- four new businesses are opening their doors and calling Hamden home.

Both the Marinello School of Beauty and Enzo’s Place Café and Catering have already held their grand openings, and the two others will hold theirs at the end of November.

On Tuesday, Marinello School of Beauty held their grand opening and to celebrate, had an open house that featured a DJ, campus tours, giveaways, presentations and a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Marinello School of Beauty, formerly Brio Academy, is a beauty school that offers training in cosmetology, make-up artistry and nail technology. Located at 1245 Dixwell Ave., #8 in the Putnam Plaza, they also offer a student salon and spa where the public can get services at a discounted cost.

Enzo’s Place Café & Catering is located at 3295 Whitney Ave. and serves all meals and specializes in sandwiches and subs, gourmet wraps, paninis and pizza deli items.

Daniella Marie Hair Boutique will be hosting their official grand opening on Nov. 28 at 8:30 a.m. with a Hamden Chamber of Commerce Business Before Hours, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony. Opening their doors for business in September, Daniella Marie Hair Boutique offers hair care, waxing and nail services.

The Hamden Hockey House will be hosting their ribbon cutting ceremony on Nov. 30. There will be an open house from 4-6 p.m. with the ribbon cutting at 5 p.m. 

Located at 109 Sanford St., the Hamden Hockey House offers a rink and training area for skaters of all ages and ability. Geared towards the “New Hockey Rules,” the staff helps develops both young and older players to develop the skills necessary to be successful.

Among the programs offered are power skating, private lessons and skating/hockey lessons. The Hamden Hockey House also offers open skates for the community.
