End of an Era: Georgetown Saloon Closes

The longtime Georgetown staple is no longer open for business.

Update:

Patch obtained the email written by Nancy Silverman, the owner of the Georgetown Saloon, which was sent out earlier this morning announcing the restaurant's closing.

Thank You!!

I have owned the Georgetown Saloon for over 7 years and they have been 7 of the most special years. I have been lucky enough to meet such wonderful people, families and great musicians.

As of Tuesday March 20th the Saloon will shut our doors. I want to thank everyone for including me in the Georgetown and Local Musical Families and for all the friendship and support that I have received.

Thank You for all your support!!

Sincerely,

Nancy  & The Georgetown Staff

How unfortunate and sad. As a former resident of Weston I had many wonderful evenings there like so many others did too. Maybe one day the place will "re-open". A great name for it ...... "The Georgetown Saloon". We need to keep some of our history around so that as we move along we can maybe say a little less frequently .... "remember when that was "

s..................................................t where us mortals went to be music gods! good, bad, or pro, we all had a chance to be cool and hang out with a bunch of great people. That tiny stage often held some really big hearts and talent. I hope it rises again-it does't have to be better, just "there"
