Seven, the most inspiring dog we know

Seven was found with two broken legs in February. Her amazing spirit will inspire you.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and in this case, that may be true. Look at Seven now. Kissing one of our volunteers and loving life. This is a very different dog from back in February when we picked her up off the street in Bridgeport, bleeding, emaciated and with serious injuries, including two broken legs. She had been left to die and people were seen kicking the cardboard box she lay in.

We weren't sure that she would make it through the night or that she would ever be able to run and jump and enjoy life in a deserving home. But, Seven is a survivor. With a lot of help from her doctors and love from her foster family, Seven has mostly recovered and blossomed into a beautiful young girl who loves to run like a Greyhound. Her left back leg is not 100% but she uses it and gets around. At just 45 pounds, she is petite and sweet.

Seven has come such a very long way. She is a sweet, happy dog now. Her physical scars have healed and her emotional ones are healing too. Seven likes to be with people and would prefer a home where she can receive a lot of attention.Seven is estimated to be just under a year old. She is full of energy and likes other dogs. Seven has been through so much – now she just wants a soft place to be - a place to call home, forever.

Seven is located in Norwalk, Connecticut and is available for adoption to homes in Connecticut, New York, New Jersey and New England.

Our best guess is that she's a Pit/Whippet/Weimaraner mix. She is on the small side, just 45 lbs.

Ramona, depending on the angle Seven she can look like a lab or weimaraner. She is indeed petite like a whippet!
