Weston Historical Society Sponsors Art Sale Honoring Paul
A little bit of Soho is coming to Weston. In April and May, the Weston Historical Society will be sponsoring an art show and sale. The show will honor long-time Weston
resident, and artist, Paul Heifetz, who died last year.
The show is being held in conjunction with ArtWhirl, a
multi-talented group of professional artists,
all based in Fairfield county, offering a wide choice of styles, subjects and media. Many are award-winning professionals whose work has been displayed in museums and galleries throughout New England.
Heiftez had been a member of ArtWhirl, and many examples of his work will be for sale at the show.
Other ArtWhirl artists whose work will be represented are Doug Leigh, Bobbi Eiken Mullen, Andy Neilly, Wendy Pieper, Ellin Spadone, Liz Ward and Laura Wilk.
The sale will be held in the new Weston Historical Society
Archive Building located at 104 Weston Road, Weston, CT behind the Coley Homestead. The show and sale opens
officially on April 22 with a wine and cheese reception between 4-6 pm. Admission is free. The sale will continue every weekend, Saturday and Sunday, through May 20 from 1 – 5 PM. Proceeds from sales of art go to the Weston Historical Society.
The Weston Historical Society is a not-for-profit
organization dedicated to preserving the unique history of Weston for present and future generations. The buildings,
exhibits and programs at the Coley Homestead provide the opportunity to learn and appreciate Weston’s past.
Membership is open to everyone. For further information contact the Weston Historical Society at 203-227-1807.
