Weston Historical Society presents 'They Called Me Lizzy...from Slavery to the White House', a dramatic one hour performance by actress Stephanie Jackson.

'They Called Me Lizzy...from Slavery to the White House', a dramatic one hour performance by actress Stephanie Jackson is coming to Weston on Saturday, February 18th.  The Weston Historical Society is excited to be sponsoring this limited engagement performance in which actress Stephanie Jackson portrays Mary Todd Lincoln's dressmaker and confidante, Elizabeth Keckly, and details the harrowing experience of slavery, the Civil War, the Lincoln years in the White House, as well as Ms. Keckly's ultimate betrayal of Mary Todd Lincoln.The performance will be held at The Weston Historical Society Archive Building, 104 Weston Road, Weston, CT on Saturday, February 18th.  Wine and cheese will be served at 7pm, with Ms. Jackson's performance commencing promptly at 8pm, followed by a Q&A session at 9pm.  The cost is $20.00 per person, and tickets can be purchased at the door, with cash or a check.  Seating is limited!  For reservations, please call 203-226-1804.
