RES ArtFest

The RES ArtFest has become an annual tradition for families where they can spend an afternoon engaging in fun and creative activities.  This year’s theme allows children to design and experience different crafts from all around the world.  They will be able to create masks from Italy, ornaments from Germany, pins for Haiti, penguins from Antarctica and many more.

ArtFest encompasses many forms of art, and this year we are pleased to announce that world-renowned musician, Tyger MacNeal, has volunteered to play a special concert beginning at 2:00 p.m. using a percussion instrument called the Cajon [ka-hone] from Peru. The instrument’s origin is derived from a shipping crate (or box) used by workers during slavery and is the perfect musical addition to this year’s ArtFest theme.
