Helen Hermes Tribute at the Mark Twain Library

The Allen and Helen Hermes Art Series (HAS) of the Mark Twain Library is presenting a special program in honor of Helen Hermes on Sunday, September 16, at 3 pm at the library. Helen, with her husband Allen, created the Art Series with a gift to the Mark Twain Library in 2006.

Honoring Helen's love of music,  HAS Advisory Board  member Eric Lewis will bring his colleagues in the acclaimed Prometheus Ensemble to play pieces by Corelli, Shostakovich and Dvorak.  They will be joined by distinguished recorder player Susan Iadone.  Actor/artist Victoria Wyndham will read poetry by Edna Saint Vincent Millay and J.R.R. Tolkien.

The tribute for Helen is open to the public.  Admission is free although reservations are requested since space is limited.  For those wishing to attend, the library has a sign-up sheet at the front desk.  Registration is accepted by phoning the library at 203-938-2545.
