When/Where: Sunday, Aug. 7 at 6 p.m. on the Redding Green.

Why Go: Enjoy the sounds of MacTalla Mor, a Celtic Fusion band with high energy beats. MacTalla Mor takes advantage of their instrumental talent. This bagpipe blowing group of five will have you kicking off your shoes and dancing on the green in no time.

Books for Babies

When/Where: Saturday, Aug. 6 from 9:30 to 10 a.m. at the Wilton Library.

Why Go: If you and your baby are restless for some playtime, the Wilton Library will give you an air-conditioned space to play, sing and enjoy a story. This program is appropriate for babies up to a year old.

Ask Me! Docent Led Museum Tour

When/Where: Sunday, Aug. 7 from 2 to 3 p.m. at The in Ridgefield.

Why Go: Tour the Aldrich’s current exhibitions with a guide who will answer your questions and listen to your thoughts. The exhibitions that can be viewed include: Chelpa Ferro, a sound-focused exhibition created by Brazilian artists, Kate Eric, MTAA, Type A, Jessica Stockholder and Judi Werthein.

Pricing: Free with a museum pass that can be obtained at the Wilton Library.

Explore the Summer Sky

When/Where:  Saturday, Aug. 6 at Onalfo Field in Ridgefield beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: Take advantage of the stars that you may rarely gaze at. View the 1st quarter moon and the asteroid Vesta through a telescope. Registration can be completed at 203-438-1063.

Learn about Nature at New Pond Farm

When/Where: Friday, Aug. 5 from 9 to 5 p.m. at in Redding.

Why Go: Bring a group of friends or family to New Pond Farm to learn about something you may not think about on a daily basis. Open your eyes to the world of nature, view preserved plants and animals and discuss their way of life.

Pricing: Free to members. 

Antiques and Treasures Sale at Keeler Tavern

When/Where: Friday, Aug. 5 to Saturday, Aug. 7 at Keeler Tavern in Ridgefield.

Why Go: Dig through treasures and troves that hold in the materials they are made of. Keeler Tavern will hold a sale of collectables, antiques and furnishings.

Pricing: Free admission during sale hours. For early purchases there will be an additional fee.
