Actors Reading Authors at the Weston Library

Inaugural event kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 27.

On Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m., the will host its inaugural Actors Reading Authors event. Join well-known actors of stage and screen Frank Converse, Patrick Horgan and more for an evening of readings from favorite modern and classic novelists, playwrights and poets with birthdays in September.

Participate in the celebration by reading a short passage from your favorite September author, gather a group to re-create a scene from a play, or simply join the audience for an enjoyable evening. Readings should range from three minutes for a monologue to five minutes for a scene.

September celebrants include: Richard Wright, Elinor Wylie, Leo Tolstoy, Hilda Doolittle, Jane Smiley, D.H. Lawrence, O. Henry, Roald Dahl, Sherwood Anderson, Truman Capote, W.C. Williams, Samuel Johnson, Donald Hall, Upton Sinclair, Elie Wiesel, H.G. Wells, F. Scott Fitzgerald, William Faulkner and T.S. Eliot.
