I really like the teachers at Barlow. All of the teachers that I have had are experienced and know how to get the most out of their students.  For the most part, they also are friendly and often get to know students on a personal level.

What are you looking forward to in your senior year?

I’m looking forward to spending my last school year with people I’ve gone to school with for my entire life, and also my last baseball season.

What activities and clubs are you involved with at Barlow?

I play on the baseball team in the spring and am Co-Captain this year and I also help run the Go Vote initiative. Last year my friend and I ran a film club, and this year I plan on joining the chess club.

What was a community service project you were involved in?

During the summer of my freshman year, I went down to Mississippi with the Youth Ministry group of . We spent a week repairing and building houses and also forming relationships with many hurricane survivors that we met. It was definitely a life changing experience.

Why is it important to help get out the vote and how did you get involved?

Voting is important because it gives everyone a say in their government. If you choose not to exercise your right to vote, then you give up a lot of the power that you have to help make a difference.  The Go Vote initiative is especially important because it helps to foster the development of lifelong voters. Getting involved as a high school student gives teens the responsibility to vote that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Has your dad been an inspiration for your community service work?

For my whole life my dad has been very involved in the community coaching various sports teams, working on Planning and Zoning, chairing the Police Commission, and right now he is Easton’s Registrar of Voters. He has taught me how important it is to give back to the community, especially one that has given me so much.

What is the outlook for Barlow baseball this year?

Being a senior-heavy team this year, the outlook is definitely good.  We lost a lot of close games last year and hopefully our experience this year will be what puts us over the edge.

Favorite baseball team?

My favorite baseball team is definitely the Red Sox. I have been going to games since I was less than a year old and our family has a weekend season ticket package to Fenway Park.

Where do you want to go to college and what do you want to study?

As far as a specific college, I’m leaving my options open. I hope to go to a school with strong programs in mathematics and economics and hope to someday very soon be working in the business world.

Your favorite thing about Easton?

I like how in Easton I feel like I know so many of the people in town. I can’t remember the last time I went to the Easton Village Store and didn’t see someone I knew.

Your favorite spot in Easton?

My favorite spot in Easton has to be the . I am there year round playing pick-up basketball with my friends, and sometimes playing tennis or football down in the back.
