Celebrate Earth Day 2012 in Weston

The following is a press release sent by Dawn Allen of American Wanderer.

American Wanderer, Children & Nature Network and The Norfield Grange will host a “Picnic for the Planet” on Earth Day 2012 at The Nature Conservancy’s Katharine Ordway Preserve. Join us and help set a world record for the largest global picnic in a 24-hour period.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 22 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the preserve, which is located at 165 Good Hill Road in Weston. 

The Earth is an amazing planet, so let's take it out to lunch! Pack a picnic and take part in outdoor fun, such as hiking or just enjoying the fresh air.

Launched by in 2011, Picnic for the Planet nurtures our connection to our planet and helps us remember that a healthy Earth supplies us with food and clean drinking water we need. The inauguralPicnic for the Planet brought together thousands of people, who joined morethan 600 picnics in 61 countries.
