A Book Sale With Low Prices & No Late Fees

Used books written by popular authors like Ann Rice, Dean Koontz and Jeffrey Archer are among the collection on sale at Weston Library.

The sale is sponsored by Friends of the Weston Library, according to Library Dir. Karen Tatarka.

"We keep is stocked year-round," Tatarka said of the carts outside the Community Room and the front desk.

The books are priced individually, but the magazines are free. Proceeds support library programs funded by Friends of the Library.

Tatarka said Friends of the Weston Library will hold a huge book sale on Nov. 1, 2 and 3 with over 5,000 books in the Community Room.

These sales depend on library patrons' donations of used books and magazines.i

"We take donations on the weekends," Tatarka said of replenishing the collection. "We try to keep it fresh. It changes every week."

Some of the books the library sells aren't gone for long.

"People buy a book, read it and come back and put it on the cart," Tatarka said with a smile. "It's such a friendly community we have, a wonderful, friendly group of library patrons here."
