WESTON'S CLASS OF '83 PLANS 30TH REUNION

September 2, 2013 (Weston, Conn.) -- Acid-washed jeans, Madonna songs, neon accessories and television's Dynasty marked the early 80s -- a time when Weston's Class of 1983 left School Road for college and other life endeavors.  Class members will celebrate their youth  at their 30th Weston High School Reunion this coming Columbus Day Weekend.  The celebration takes place Saturday, October 12 at the Weston Field Club, 38 Ladder Hill Road South, Weston at 6:00 pm.

The reunion committee is made up of those who originally hail from Weston and have returned to raise families here.  In fact, over a dozen people from the class, alone, are Westonites, once again.  At 18, they may not have been concerned with school system rankings and two-acre residential zoning, but as parents, have come back to the community for these very reasons.  Weston has successfully wooed back its graduates from the Class of '83 and beyond.

Varied weekend reunion festivities are planned for October 11-13.   On Friday, October 11, there will be a casual gathering -- most likely at a local classmate’s home -- and details will be posted on the Weston Class of 1983 group’s page on Facebook.  Saturday, October 12 will be the main event for ’83 graduates as well as alumni who attended between 1980-1983 (or therabouts).  These Weston alum are invited to not only "crash" the weekend's happenings, but are asked to help spread the word.  The Field Club party will feature cocktails and a buffet dinner; the cost per person is $100.  Dress is casual.  Checks should be made out to Derek Dominici and mailed to his attention at 146 Steep Hill Road, Weston, CT 06883 by October 1.
