Student Literary Magazine Receives Grant

The Jewish High School of Connecticut's art and literary magazine, Echo, has won a grant from the Women of Vision Society of the Jewish Foundation of Greater New Haven. The grant will support the development, editing and publishing of the Jewish teen art and literary publication as well as other activities to advance the magazine's quality and reach, including creative writing workshops for area middle school students, public readings by student authors, and consultation with professionals at Random House.

Weston residents Emma Stein and Eli Uder were two of the student editors.

The only accredited Jewish high school in Connecticut, JHSC offers a comprehensive curricular and co-curricular program of secular and Jewish studies in an open environment. Open House is October 20 - admissions@jhsct.org or 203-907-0055 x341.
