Stop & Shop Donates Over $8400 to Nathan Hale Middle School in Norwalk
Stop & Shop Supermarket’s A+ School Rewards Program awarded the Nathan Hale Middle School in Norwalk, with a check for $8,481.23 for participating in the program. Stop & Shop's Ruth Maloney (right) presented the check to (left to right) Jim Anderson, PTO President; Grade 7 students, Gianluca Trofa and Julia Tiano; and Secretary to the Principal and Founder of Adopt-a-Platoon, Kathy Gamcsik.
Stop & Shop’s A+ School Rewards program allows local schools to earn cash for scholarships, technology, sports equipment, field trips and other educational needs when customers designate the school as the school of their choice. A+ School Rewards points accrue when customers make purchases using their Stop & Shop card.
“At a time when school budgets are so tight and every penny counts, the A+ School Rewards program allows Stop & Shop customers to help their children’s school by directing a portion of their sales receipt to programs and projects that the principal and teachers have deemed worthy, but do not have the funds necessary to provide it,” said Don Sussman, President, Stop & Shop New York Metro Division. “This partnership between our customers and schools in our community allows Stop & Shop to help our schools be the best they can be.”
