State Representative John Shaban (R-135) is encouraging Redding residents to attend an upcoming meeting about the replacement and maintenance of two local bridges. The meeting will be held Thursday, January 9 at 7:00pm at Town Hall, located at 100 Hill Road, Redding. In the event of severe weather, the meeting will be postponed to January 23rd.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (DOT) is hosting the gathering to inform residents about the replacement of Bridge 01018, located on Route 53 over the Saugatuck River, and the rehabilitation of Bridge 02390, located on Route 53 over an unnamed brook.
Both construction projects will span approximately four months, impact traffic within the vicinity, and cost the state a collective $3,120,000.
Residents, business owners, commuters, and other interested individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to learn about and discuss the proposed project.
Anyone who is unable to attend but would like to discuss the project or review the plans may contact Mary E. Baker at (860) 594-3402 or by e-mail at email@example.com.
