Grants for Education Students

Iota Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International  Supports the Future of Education with Grants

Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is an organization dedicated to promoting excellence in education with special emphasis on the professional and personal growth of women educators.The local chapter, Iota Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International is currently offering two grants to students in the field of education.

           The first is a $600 grant offered to female teachers currently pursuing graduate education degrees and currently living or employed in New Fairfield, Brookfield, Danbury, Bethel, Ridgefield, Redding, or Newtown.  It must be used towards an upcoming course. Please contact Eleanor Coffey of Iota Chapter at  coffeyem@optimum.net as soon as possible, as the applications are due April 30, 2014.

Iota is also giving two $300 book grants to graduating high school seniors, male or female, who are planning on pursuing a degree in education. The students must attend public or private high school in one of the following towns: Danbury, Bethel, Ridgefield, Brookfield, Redding, New Fairfield or Newtown.  Please contact your guidance counselor for information on these grants. The deadline is April 25, 2014.
