Easton Resident Wins Award for Work at Retirement Community

The Watermark at 3030 Park recently held a ceremony honoring recipients of the Watermark Retirement Communities’ annual “Thrive Awards.” The awards are given to associates from Watermark’s 32 communities nationwide who exemplify Watermark’s philosophy of creating extraordinary communities where people thrive. Easton resident Maria Alves was among the winners.

 

“I am thrilled and honored to join everyone at The Watermark at 3030 Park in congratulating this year’s award recipients,” said Executive Director Edward Roman, “The number of honorees is a testament to the incredible effort our staff puts forth every day to make our community an extraordinary place to live and work.”

Donna Jones, Director of Nursing from Ansonia, was awarded “Nursing Director of the Year,” an award given to the Director or Department Manager who has demonstrated leadership excellence by shepherding their department through a successful year in regards to financial performance, standards reviews, and associate and resident satisfaction.

Carol Goncalves, Director of Housekeeping and Associate Director of Operations, who has been with The Watermark for 34 years, was awarded for her contributions to the community as a Watermark University instructor. Watermark University is a continuing education program designed with interesting topics and activities to keep seniors’ minds and bodies fit.

 

Other “Thrive Award” winners from The Watermark at 3030 Park include Edgardo Suarez, Maria Gomes, Michelle Ciocca, Maria Sanches, Maria D. Martins, Amanda Pinedo, Darryl White, Davida Duarte, Sashalee Folkes, Pooja Gupta, Denisha Blake, Margartia Cruz, Helen Harriss, Marlane Argianas, Denise Rozelle, Joan King and Erle Gerangaya.
