Celebrated comedian, TV Personality, NY Times best-selling author -- and Redding resident -- Mr. Black will share excerpts from his courageously hysterical memoir, You’re Not Doing It Right: Tales of Sex, Death, and Other Humiliations, Saturday, March 9 from 7-9pm at the Mark Twain Library in Redding, CT.
The program "An Intimate Evening with Michael Ian Black," will have limited seating, and include a wine and beer reception, and book signing. The program is $20 per person and intended for a mature audience. Audience members will be treated to unexpected candor and deadpan wit in this funny-because-it’s-true memoir reading.
Proceeds from the event will support the Mark Twain Library’s Wit and Wisdom Award, presented annually to a Joel Barlow High School student who, in the spirit of the Library’s illustrious founder Sam Clemens, is a creative, out-of-the-box thinker. Community sponsorship is being generously provided by The Redding Roadhouse, Georgetown Package Store, and Joel Barlow High School PTSA.
Registration is online at www.marktwainlibrary.org, or by calling the Library at (203) 938-2545. Mr. Black’s books, including the memoir, can be ordered in advance at Amazon.com. Copies of You’re Not Doing It Right will be also available for purchase at the event.
