Blind Date With A Book At The Weston Library

If you can’t decide what book you want to read next, the staff at the Weston Public Library has made it easier for you.

The library is hosting a new program, Blind Date with a Book, from February 11 through February 17.

Staff have handpicked and wrapped some of the library’s most recommended and heavily borrowed titles. The covered books have tags giving hints about the theme of the book. You won’t know what you’ve picked until you select one and get it home. A variety of genres are included, such as biographies, fiction, intrigue, and mystery.

Inside of each book will be a “Rate Your Date” form to review your blind date book. Complete the form and return it to the library for a chance to win a gift card to the Lunch Box. All “Rate Your Date” forms are due by March 10th. If your date doesn’t work out, feel free to return it to the library and select another. Its feelings won’t be hurt!

The intention of the program is to introduce readers to new authors and genres that they may not have thought of trying before. Patrons are encouraged to take the book home with them, rather than unwrapping it on site and exchanging it if they think it’s a book they won’t like.

This book really was a great read. And I bet his reading will be quite a performance too. Mr. BlackRead More is not only very, very funny, but very astute too. He's a screenwriter, so it shouldn't have surprised me to find that he is an excellent writer, but I was really impressed.
