Weston Firefighters Visit Nursery School

Captain Bill Umhoefer, Firefighter Steve Ash and Firefighter Adam Bartley recently visited performing an interactive fire safety demonstration for the children.

"The kids learned how smoke alarms worked, how and why to call 911, stop - drop and roll, how to escape from a fire, how to set up a fire plan including where to meet once they are out of their house and much more," said Mark Blake of the Weston Fire Departmaent. "They also got to see the fire fighters put on their gear, see what is in a fire truck has in it and sit in the truck too. All the kids were given fire safety materials too."
