Redding Police Nab Three Suspended Drivers

Redding Police news, Sept. 11 through Sept. 17.

 

On Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 8:37 a.m., Redding Police stopped a car on Route 7 after a license plate reader hit. Investigation revealed that Jose Caraballo, 44, of Stratford was driving an unregistered motor vehicle, driving without insurance, driving with a suspended license and driving without a license.

Caraballo was released on a promise to appear at a court date later this month.

On Thursday, Sept. 13 at 4:32 p.m., Redding Police stopped a car on Black Rock Turnpike after a license plate reader hit. Lawrence Herzog, 49, of Bethel was found to be driving with a suspended registration and operating without insurance.

He was released on a promise to appear at a court date later this month.

On Saturday, Sept. 15 at 1:13 a.m., police stopped a Danbury man for speeding on Redding Road. Upon investigation, police found Diego Avila, 21, to be driving with a suspended license.

On Sunday, Sept. 16 at 7:01 p.m., an officer running radar on Route 53 stopped a New Milford man for speeding after having clocked him at 69 mph in a 45 mph zone. Douglas Groom, 26, was charged with misdemeanor speeding and released on a written promise to appear in court later this month.
