Redding Man Charged With Driving Drunk

DUI arrest
Paul Webel, 53, of Redding was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and failure to drive right following a motor vehicle stop on Redding Road on Monday, Feb. 6 at 12:08 a.m. Weber, according to police, was driving erratically. He failed field sobriety tests and it was later determined his blood alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
He was held on a $100 bond and given a Feb. 16 court date.
Driving charges
Yogesh Chouhan, 28, of Danbury was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and passing in a no passing zone after officers observed him passing someone on Umpawaug Road on Thursday, Feb. 2 at 6:14 p.m.
He was released on a written promise to appear in court later this month.
Vandalism
A hood ornament on a vehicle was vandalized at the Long Ridge Road Train Station, which was reported to police on Sunday, Feb. 5 at 11:18 a.m.
Roaming coyote
On Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 8:46 a.m., a resident reported a coyote was roaming in the area of Sunset Hill Road. Police did not locate the animal.
