The Weston Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle crash Friday morning, June 17, near the intersection of Silver Ridge Commons and Old Easton Turnpike.

The Weston Communications Center was notified of the crash by Onstar.

Upon arrival, Weston Police Department found one vehicle that had crashed into a utility pole causing extensive damage to the vehicle and utilility pole. The operator of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries by Weston EMS.

The proper use use seatbelts and air bag deployment greatly reduced the injuries that could have been sustained.
